Details

The Castle is home of Marquis of Normanby and not usually open to the public. The gardens open approximately twice a year for charity.

The woods open Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays but are closed in May for pheasant rearing. The footpath to the site cuts through a working wood yard and is an undemanding one mile walk to the Castle.

There is parking available at Sandsend at the bottom of Lythe Bank. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on lead at all times because of lose game.
