There will be an extra ring at Burniston Show this year because we really wanted to put the things that you all love at the heart of the Show, and some exciting new attractions are joining us for the first time!

* The Tailwaggers Musical Dog Display Team will be showing us just how clever their dogs are
with two displays in the new ring, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Now I don't
want to spoil any surprises, but I've heard that Alfie Bone and the Boneyard Choir might be
making an appearance too!

* The Purple Pig Petting Farm will be bringing along all kinds of beautiful furries and
featheries, it will be cuteness overload! The only danger, of course, is that by the time you've
finished gazing at gorgeous fluffy chicks and ducklings, you'll have to go home and build a
chicken coop in the garden! There'll be bigger cuties too, they've got everything from
miniature ponies and donkeys, lambs and calves, rabbits, guinea pigs and goats, and that's not
even the full list.

The Reptile Roadshow will be back again, but this year it's free entry to the tent! The reptile expert will be doing talks both morning and afternoon in the new ring along with some of her gorgeous exotics, and the tent will be there all day so you can see the animals and have your photograph taken with them (if you want a photograph with a python round your neck that is!)

Everyone always loves the wonderful flying displays by Eagle Eye Falconry, so we're really pleased that Danny will be joining us with his stunning birds once again. They'll be doing two displays, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so everyone should get a chance to see these amazing birds.

There's always something for every member of the family at Burniston Show! Dog lovers will love the Fun Dog Classes, where the Judge will have a hard time choosing 'The Fastest Sausage Eater' or 'The Prettiest Bitch'. Other classes include 'Best Trick', 'Best Buddies' (for children aged 12 and under), and the 'Golden Oldies' class for dogs over seven years old. The Staintondale Foxhounds will parade in the Horse ring too, by permission of the Master, Jean Clemmit, so something for every dog fan there!

The horse and pony fans will find a multitude of classes to keep them entertained, ranging from big Agricultural Horses to Children's Mounted Fancy Dress, with plenty of showing and jumping classes along the way. New for this year is the Breed Parade, where horses of different breeds will be paraded around the Horse ring with a commentary so everyone knows what's what (we wouldn't want our Miniature Shetlands getting mixed up with our Apaloosas now, would we?).

The whole family can wander around the Handicrafts and Horticulture marquee where you can admire the art and photography classes, and marvel at the needlework and flower arranging. You may want to spend a few minutes listening to the Royal Accordions before enjoying the huge range of horticultural and agricultural exhibits, and by the time you get to the end of the cookery classes we guarantee tummies will be rumbling. So, time to head over to the Catering area? You'll find something to everyone's taste there, burgers and chips, hot roasts, sandwiches, cupcakes, the list goes on and on. Oh, and don't forget the bar tent when you feel the need for a cold drink in the gorgeous sunshine (that's the bit we can't guarantee by the way, so just keep your fingers crossed!)

For the kids? Endless fun in the children's attraction and activity area, with a giant inflatable slide, bouncy castle, bungee run, swings, magic show and much more, and maybe they'll want to try their chance in the Children's Fancy Dress. Then the Fur & Feather marquee will give a chance for the animal lovers amongst you to get a fix of gorgeous rabbits, cavies, and a huge variety of chickens and waterfowl, from tiny bantams to massive cockerels who'll no doubt be letting their voices be heard all over the tent.

Check out the vintage parade in the showring too, and take your time wandering around the wide range of Trade Stands offering everything you'd expect at a country show.

Get the date in your diary now, and look forward to a lovely family day out when you join us at Burniston Show 2016!
