The location of the Russell is ideal for those who prefer a more peaceful setting whilst being within easy reach of everything that Scarborough has to offer, including the Indoor Swimming Pool, Open Air Theatre, North Bay Railway, Sea Life Centre, and Scarborough Cricket Ground.

The Russell is an attractive detached building overlooking the Glen of Peasholm Park. The garden to the front offers a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the views across the trees and greenery towards the sea. If the weather is too hot, there is always the guest lounge providing the same view.

Popular with families, couples, special interest groups and single people alike, the Russell can offer a more flexible approach to meeting guest requirements and is regularly used as a venue for groups and family gatherings. Guests travelling by themselves, either for business or on holiday enjoy the safe and friendly environment that the Russell provides.

The accommodation within, offers family suites, double, twin and single bedrooms, which are situated on the first and second floors.

All rooms are en-suite, spacious and comfortably furnished, complete with a flat screen free-view TV, complimentary toiletries, hospitality tray and radio/alarm clocks.

A licensed bar, with conservatory, is located on the ground floor along with an inviting guest lounge and spacious dining room.

The Russell offers a full breakfast choice and evening meal, prepared with local produce wherever possible. Evening meals should be ordered on the morning of the day requires.

To the rear, a secure area affords parking to a number of motorcycles and bicycles. Free parking is available on the two driveways and on the roadside.

“Very comfortable, good location, friendly owners”

We had a very comfortable stay,good walk through the park to the beach, breakfast was very good, we would stay again if we are in the area.

By Train:
A taxi ride from the Station rank taxi's is approx 7 mins, costing between £5.00-£6.00.

If walking, approx 20 mins:
" Leaving the station, cross the road and turn left around the front of the Stephen Joseph Theatre (Northway).
" Go through the traffic lights and down the hill to the second roundabout.
" Turn left and go up to the top of the hill, turn right and then 2nd right into Ryndleside.
" We are around the bend on the left hand side.

By Bus:
Leave the station and turn right, cross over the road and walk towards the pedestrianised precinct, taking your first right onto York Place. From there, you can catch the 3/3A for Northstead.
Get off at North Leas Avenue/Fieldside, and cross over the road and Ryndleside (the road behind the one you are on) can be accessed by turning left or right.

By Road:
If coming in on the A165 continue through the town centre, passing the railway station and Stephen Joseph Theatre, travelling through the traffic lights, left at the 2nd roundabout, top of hill turn right and then 2nd right.

If travelling on the A64 follow the Brown road signs for sea life centre and North Bay, you will pass alongside a large Cemetary on your left that will also appear on both sides of the road just before a roundabout, go straight over this and take the 2nd turning on the right.

Coming into Scarborough on the A165 from the North, take the left fork at Burniston continue for approx. 2 miles, go through the traffic lights and pedestrian lights, down the hill at the bottom there is a car park, turn right immediately after (Northstead Manor Drive) continue up the hill, keeping the park on your left, first left at the top brings you into Ryndleside.
