STAY IN STAITHES is a direct marketing service for a select number of holiday cottages in Staithes. We are based in this historic village set on the beautiful North York Moors coast just 20 minutes’ drive from Whitby. Stay in Staithes offers a range of Staithes holiday cottages from cosy, get away from it all retreats for small parties through to larger houses suitable for families and groups of up to eight people. Pets accepted at all properties for £5/night charge. Free Wi-Fi access in most cottages. All our cottages enjoy the perfect location in the heart of the village either on the harbour front or a short walk away. Parking is restricted for unloading only and you will need to move your car to the Staithes Bank Top car park which is 5-10 minute walk away. We provide parking permits to cover the costs when charges apply March – October inclusive. Staithes cottages are quirky and located on higgledy-piggledy footpaths that criss-cross the village. Access both inside and outside the property may be difficult for people with mobility issues. CHAPEL GARTH - Sleeps 8 in two double and two twin bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Chapel Garth is an imposing property set on the upper part of the High Street at the foot of Staithes Bank adjacent to the Bethel Chapel. It was completely renovated in 2014 and this has created a fantastic holiday property set over 4 floors. The house is finished to a very high standard and offers many facilities for the holiday maker, but its two key advantages over other cottages in Staithes are on-site parking for up to two cars and a self contained patio to the rear. Full central heating and pressurised hot water system. Open fire on ground floor.
CINDER PATH - Sleeps 3 in double and single bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. The perfect hideaway by the sea Cinder Path is an unusual two storey cottage set above the village with lovely top floor lounge and views across the roof tops to Cowbar cliff, Staithes harbour and the sea beyond. It is located on one of the many cliff top paths that surround the village, but is also conveniently just off the main High Street. The cottage has storage/electric heating throughout and is a cosy retreat whatever the time of year. Please note that the internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.
HARBOUR VIEW - Sleeps 5 in two double and single bedrooms. Friday arrival for full week bookings. Harbour View is a quirky and charming Grade II listed cottage set right on the Staithes harbour. The ground floor is set up for open plan living with well equipped kitchen/dining and lounge areas. There is underfloor heating and open fire on the ground floor. To the front of the cottage is a yard area with seating – the perfect spot from which to enjoy a cup of tea or an evening glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. Harbour View can sleep up to 5 people, though we would recommend a maximum of 4 adults to allow you to enjoy the facilities in comfort.


PENNY NAB - Sleeps 7 +1 in two double, twin and single bedrooms plus fold out bed. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Penny Nab is set in the perfect location on Church Street, just off Staithes harbour and is a great property in which to spend time with family and friends. The cottage has been fully restored in a contemporary but sympathetic style and has had further upgrades to the kitchen at the end of 2015. There are modern facilities/appliances throughout with a log burner on the ground floor and central heating throughout. The cottage has great views of the harbour from the front of the property and a panoramic view out to sea from the master bedroom on the second floor.
OCEAN VIEW - Sleeps 8 in three double bedrooms (two en-suite) and one twin (en-suite). Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Ocean View is a quirky and impressive double fronted Grade II listed stone property located in an elevated position on High Barrass. There are sea views from most of the rooms and the kitchen/diner has been located on the top floor to maximise the awesome panoramic views of the harbour and North Sea beyond. There is a mixture of thermostatically controlled electric heaters and underfloor heating throughout the cottage plus an open fire on the ground floor.
ROSALYN - Sleeps 6,in double, twin and bunk bedrooms. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Rosalyn is located in quiet Elliot’s Yard, just off the main High Street of Staithes. The cottage is spacious with accommodation set over four floors, one of which is a games room for the children. Rosalyn was fully restored in 2006 and had further improvements made in late 2013. It benefits from modern facilities and appliances, an open fire in the lounge and full electric central heating throughout.
SEAHAVEN - Sleeps 4 in double and twin bedrooms. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. Seahaven has been a completely refurbished to the highest standards which have provided modern facilities perfect for a relaxing holiday. The ground floor is set for open living with well equipped kitchen/diner/living area. Stunning master bedroom with a double height vaulted ceiling, great sea views and en-suite shower room. First floor twin bedroom also with sea views. Full electric central heating and pressurised hot water system. Free Wi-Fi access. There is a bench to the front of the cottage and small yard, not self contained, to the rear.
SMUGGLERS DEN - Sleeps 6 in two double bedrooms and one bunk room. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Smugglers Den has been lovingly restored by the owner to reflect her love of interior design and collecting vintage pieces. Its key feature is the amazing elevated sea views which can be enjoyed from every room in the house. In addition there is a patio and garden – very rare commodities in Staithes! It is the perfect hideaway for couples and families whatever the time of year with electric heaters throughout and a log burner in the cosy living room. inclusive. The harbour, local pubs and amenities are only a short walk away.
STONEGARTH - Sleeps 4 +1 in double and twin bedrooms plus fold out bed. Saturday arrivals for full week bookings. Stonegarth is a traditional cottage in the heart of old Staithes which is perfect for couples and families alike with a cosy lounge area with multifuel stove and separate kitchen/diner. It is a much loved second home that has a traditional feel but with up to date facilities such as a modern house bathroom and ground floor cloakroom. The cottage has a mixture of underfloor heating and storage heaters. In addition the multifuel stove powers back up radiators when it is in use.

THE MOORINGS - Sleeps 7 in two double and one triple bedroom. Friday arrivals for full week bookings. The Moorings is located on Mount Pleasant just off the Stubble Path and has wonderful elevated views across the roof tops towards Staithes Harbour. These can be enjoyed whatever the weather as the property has both an external balcony, sheltered patio area with seating and a sunroom for those chillier or stormy days. Full central heating throughout and an open fire in the cosy lounge.
