Harwood Dale - Out & About

Harwood Dale is situated off the A171 Scarborough to Whitby road and provides the perfect base from which to explore the many attractions of the Yorkshire Coast.

Set in the heather clad surroundings of the North York Moors National Park, this idyllic village is perfect for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.

The neighbouring Harwood Dale Forest is an area of coniferous woodland, mainly pines and spruces. It offers an interesting wood for birdwatching and is home to animal species such as roe deer, badgers, squirrels and foxes.
