Scarborough Seafest 2014

Scarborough Seafest sets sail Friday 25th to Sunday 27th July 2014, with a raft of activities for the whole family to enjoy!

 

Scarborough's 16th Annual Seafest Maritime Festival, sponsored by Barratt Homes and Maldon Sea Salt Flakes, will host a weekend full of free live music, free cooking demonstrations, and free children’s workshops and entertainment, organised by Scarborough Borough Council in partnership with Welcome to Yorkshire and The Great Yorkshire Brewery.

Rob Green - Seafest 2014Scarborough Seafest 2014 will be hosting two days of free fish and seafood cookery demonstrations by leading Yorkshire chefs, including BBC MasterChef finalist Tom Rennolds.

Seafest 2014 PosterLeeds Caribbean Carnival Display

A pop-up carnival which is an offshoot of Leeds West Indian Carnival, Europe’s longest running authentic Caribbean carnival, has been announced as one of the highlights of this year’s event.

 

The glittering carnival, featuring music and dance, and spectacular feathered, sequined and beaded costumes,  will be suitable for all the family and will take place from 12pm -2.30pm on Saturday 26 July at the Spa end of the beach on the South Bay.

 

Live Music

During the festival there will also be a programme of free live music, run by the organisers of Scarborough's popular Acoustic Gathering.
