Details

Bridlington's Gansey Girl sculptor, Steve Carvill, is the next artist to feature at Bridlington Old Town Gallery.

Steve Carvill is a locally and nationally renowned artist and proud Bridlington resident.

Steve's exhibition is called 'Heading Home' and features a new collection of prints and watercolours.

It opens on Thursday 1st February 2018 and runs throughout February at the gallery in Bridlington Old Town.

Steve said: "Like many people I have spent much of my working life away, but nothing quite matches that feeling of joy and relief when I get onto a train or into a car and head back to my lovely home town.
"My working life has been very varied, split between being an artist and designer working on nationally significant projects and a local art teacher, trying to encourage people into the enriching world of art and design. A recent development is a new Artist Residency at Thorpe Hall and I am most excited about the prospect of working in that beautiful environment.
"This is a new phase, it’s time to take stock and return to some of the inspirations which first fired my imagination as an artist, being back here is very important for that."
