Details

For sports lovers this is the dream place to stay, with a 9-hole, 18 tees par 4 golf course with panoramic views, on-site free for guests to use. You can bring your own equipment or hire it on-site. There is also a gymnasium, tennis courts, badminton courts and some classes such as yoga and circuits, all free (for over 16s only, younger children at owners discretion). Courtside Cottage is semi-detached and has a living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms and a lawned garden and rear courtyard to make the most of the sunshine. It is situated in the grounds of Hunmanby Hall and this stunning building was formerly a girls boarding school. Guests can enjoy a wonderful parkland walk that goes for a mile around the golf course and there are wonderful facilities at the site or just enjoy a relaxing cottage holiday.

The village of Hunmanby is a short stroll away where you’ll find local shops, fish and chips and a small supermarket. The seaside resorts of Filey, Hunmanby Gap and Scarborough are just a brief drive away, and all of them have great sandy beaches and have won many awards over the years. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is just a few minutes by car. Here you can stand on the clifftop viewing points and see all the migrating seabirds, including the comical puffins. The medieval city of York is less than an hour away where there are attractions for all age groups, from fantastic museums such as the Railway Museum or the Jorvik Viking Centre and numerous theatres and art galleries. The cobbled streets have some fantastic cafés and independent shops and the majestic Minster stands proud in the centre. The cottage is ideally placed for visits to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Yorkshire Wolds, Dalby Forest and the east coast. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Courtside Cottage can be booked together with Courtside Barn Studio to accommodate up to 9 guests.
