Tour de Yorkshire

Tour de Yorkshire

For the fourth year in a row Scarborough will be an official host town for the Tour de Yorkshire when it returns in May 2018.

The fourth edition of the race takes place between 3-6 May 2018.

The race takes the peloton from the gateway to the Dales, through some of the finest market towns on its way to the coast.
Now in its 4th year - Scarborough plays host to the Tour de Yorkshire’s 3rd stage grand finish which takes place on Saturday 5 May 2018. This year they are dropping in on even more of our lovely villages and market towns some of which include - Helmsley - Kirkbymoorside - Pickering – Thornton le Dale – Snainton - Brompton by Sawdon – Wykeham - Ayton - Hackness - Scalby - Filey - Muston - Cayton Village - before heading back up the coast for the climactic finale in Scarborough’s North Bay. Please visit website for the full route.
This year sees both the women’s and men’s races gaining an extra day, with the Asda Women’s race now across two-days and the men’s across four. For the cycling fanatics, these extra days give more opportunities to see their heroes – some of the biggest names in cycling, passing before their eyes across familiar local terrain. Yorkshire’s extraordinary scenery and brutal climbs will, once again, push some of these world class cyclists to their limits.
