However alongside heritage, there is also certainly room for the new. Whilst the service may be exactly the same as all those years ago, the products are decidedly much more exciting!
Long before opening the doors, Liz hunted up and down the UK for the best of British - looking for exciting new brands and beautiful contemporary designs.
At Kemps, we hope you will find the things you most certainly want and may even need, such as an interesting book, lovely art, great cards, quirky things or or a selection of beautiful tableware.

Front access – one low step from street level with grab rails either side to main shopping floor – 830mm. Upper shop area and disabled toilet access – via side door from street level upon request – door opening 750mm and toilet access740mm & 905mm. Floor surfaces – painted wood and concrete at lower level and felt carpet on upper level. Resting chairs available inside the shop and assisted shopping available. Parking – free 30 min parking outside shop, 2 free hours in Market Place where there is also Blue Badge parking. Toilets – public disabled access toilet 2 minutes from shop with access via Radar key. At certain times of the year we offer special shopping sessions which are ‘relaxed’, offering a quiet and calm managed experience and also sessions where we have extra staff and support available for visitors who have mobility issues and where a raised level of personal shopping support from our team will enable more enjoyable and fulfilling shopping experience. These sessions will be publicised via our social media feeds and partner organisations. Where possible we would ask guests to book in advance so we can ensure a good experience for everyone.
