In collaboration with Natural England, share a hands-on pond dipping activity meeting diving beetles, common newts, and hawker dragonflies!
On a dragonfly safari look for adults, which are spectacular predators. Create your own dragonfly model.
The sessions are delivered by naturalist Phil Taylor, Green Underwing Wildlife Education. These family friendly sessions are suitable for ages 4 to 10 years. Parents and guardians are required to stay. Please bring suitable clothing for outdoor activities as the sessions will take place come rain or shine.
Dogs may be taken for a walk in the park, but we regret cannot be allowed in the garden or on the woodland walk. The resturant and plant sales area may be enjoyed without paying for entry to the garden. There is disabled access to the garden and all visitor facilities.

Scampston is situated on the north side of the A64 Leeds/Scarborough road, approximately 4 miles from Malton and just to the east of the village of Rillington.
By Car
From Leeds/York/Malton Follow the A64 toward Scarborough, bypassing Malton. Half a mile after the traffic lights in Rillington take the left turn signed Scampston Only and follow signs to the walled garden.
From Scarborough Follow the A64 towards York passing Heslerton and the turning to Yedingham and Snainton. Half a mile after crossing Scampston Bridge (you get a glimpse of the house on your right signed Scampston Only and follow signs to the Walled Garden.

Yorkshire Coastliner (01653 692556) Bus Service 843, 845 and X45 pass within 1 mile of the Garden.
