A quirky and characterful cottage over three floors, converted from the carriage house and stables of Cliff House, the owners grade ll listed former manor house. A stable door opens onto the entrance hall with twin bedroom and bathroom/WC. Four steps take you down to the dining area and fully-fitted kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave,large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Archway to spacious sitting room with open fire, flatscreen TV and large window (formerly barn doors). The first floor has a double bedroom with superb views over the vale of Pickering, single bedroom and separate WC. Private parking directly outside cottage within gravelled courtyard for 1 vehicle and small private courtyard garden. Why book with us? We take all major credit/debit cards (no charge), we do not charge a service fee and there are no other hidden charges. We personally welcome all our guests and clean all our cottages ourselves to ensure the highest standards.

Beech Cottage offers weekly bookings starting on Saturday and sometimes short breaks.

Cliff House Country Cottages are located in the pretty village of Ebberston. Five charming cottages, sleeping from 2-6 people with superb heated indoor swimming pool and games room, situated in the four acre grounds of Cliff House - the owner’s handsome grade II listed 18th century manor house. The grounds include a beautiful Victorian walled garden, wooded walks and a children's play area with ancient pyramid-shaped yew tree tree-house.

There are plenty of scenic walks and the lane at the side of Cliff House leads directly to Dalby Forest for keen cyclists, walkers and Go Ape for the more adventurous. The start of The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway is just 7 miles away in Pickering.

    Notes

    All the cottages at Cliff House have been converted from farm buildings and are grade II listed and are therefore full of character. This does mean that some of the cottages have low beams, doorways and uneven steps. We are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone of limited disability. The gardens and grounds are extensive and are laid mainly to lawn with gravel paths with no steps. We are happy to advise as to the suitability of each cottage if required.
