10.30am: Opening of a day of celebrations for the life of Anne Brontë, (10.30-11am) Introduction & presentation of Artists, Writers & Brontë representatives & local dignitaries. Patsy Stoneman, Vice President of the Bronte Society will introduce everyone at The Grand Hotel & thanks those who have organised the celebration of Anne’s life & links with Scarborough & the Yorkshire Coast.

11.15 - 11.45am: Warp: Immerse yourself, eye to eye, heart to heart and mind to mind as professional storyteller Jan Bee Brown weaves her tales of Anne Brontë and strong
Victorian women.

12noon - 1.15pm: Brontë discussion / Forum Q+A with Brontës experts. includes audience participation.

1.45 - 2.45pm: Weft : Immerse yourself, eye to eye, heart to heart and mind to mind , as professional storyteller Jan Bee Brown weaves her tales of Anne Brontë and strong
Victorian women.

2.45 - 4.00pm: Walk to Beach and up to St. Mary’s church. Worded Pebble throwing into the sea in memory of Anne, followed by a walk to St. Mary’s Church.

3.45 - 4.00pm St Mary’s Church: The church bells will ring to welcome everyone.

4pm Graveside: Trish Gurney, The Chair of The Brontë Council, will lay flowers on the grave & read one of Anne’s poems.

4.15pm: ‘Go Back With Me’ – Sarah Dew – quiet reflection – followed by debut of especially commissioned music for the occasion.

4.30: Closing words from Dr. Patsy Stoneman to end the weekend.

Follow signs for Scarborough Railway Station. With station on your right hand side facing down the town centre, take a right at the traffic signals on Valley Bridge Road. Keep to the left and at giveway turn left onto Somerset Terrace. Continue through the traffic signals and at round about take 2nd exit onto Falconers Road. Turn right into St. Nicholas Cliff. The Grand Hotel is on your left hand side.
