Details
Our small family-run park offers wonderful surroundings and caters for those seeking a quiet relaxing break and is ideally suited for the more mature visitor and young families. With extensive views over the Vale of Pickering and Yorkshire Wolds, you can really enjoy being right in the middle of the countryside, while in reality you are only two-and-a-half miles from Filey and five miles from Scarborough.
We have no bars, clubs, discos or casinos to amuse - just lots of peace and quiet. Our amenity blocks are maintained to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and as well as the usual washroom facilities we have a laundry, family bathroom and disabled shower room (radar key required). Over recent years we have also installed several superpitches which include electric, water, drainage and terrestrial aerial hook up to further enhance your relaxing holiday.
We have been finalists in the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards and the Moors and Coast Awards in their Holiday Park and Holiday Village categories and have won both during our time here. We are very proud of our Visit England five star status and our 4-Pennant grading from the AA and have held the David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award since 2004.
We really look forward to welcoming you to stay on our beautiful park and sharing our love of this beautiful area with you.
Children welcome from any age.

Self-Assessed Accessibility Details
Notes
Access Statement Accessibility has been prominent on the national agenda for several years and our development has taken this into account. We also like to consider the carers too as, on our park, they are often the spouse and are trying to make the most of their time together. Parents of children with limited abilities are also in need of a holiday and we have tried to make the family holiday together as ‘easy’ as possible. Limited mobility does not mean limited intellect or permanent wheelchair use and it is important to remember this. There are no steps to gain access to any of our public areas. Tourist information is large and has seating so those who can walk but not stand for long are still able to join in choosing events and venues to visit, whilst carers of those in wheelchairs can sit and have eye-level contact whilst looking at their selected brochures and deciding where to go. Reception too is large and allows wheelchair access. This enables everyone to come into the shop and choose their own provisions and treats or collect the daily newspaper. The top toilet block, which is in the quieter area of the park, has the main disabled bathroom measuring 14feet x 10feet. This room allows plenty of space for a helper and has a DocM pack washbasin and toilet with the necessary assistance rails. The double width shower is also fitted with ample assistance rails. Access is by radar key. All amenity block floors are non-slip. In the toilet blocks there is sufficient contrast in the decor for the visually impaired to differentiate between doors and cubicle dividers. The key pad is lit and a buzzer sounds to notify when entry is possible. It must be realised that not everyone has a permanent impairment. Those visitors (although very small in number) who are recuperating from illness or surgery may need a different type of support. We do offer use of the disabled facilities to them by lending a radar key. Anyone moving temporarily from one health care trust to another may need to arrange any medical support they require for a holiday e.g. changing dressings. The Filey Surgery is supportive in helping to organise this. We consider recuperation in a calm environment to be so beneficial and this must have therapeutic benefits.
