Orpheus is stood at the bar, Bruce Springsteen on the stereo.

Eurydice is five years old, holding a Superman costume.

Internationally award-winning UK theatre makers The Flanagan Collective and Gobbledigook Theatre bring a modern retelling of an ancient myth. Wound from soaring harmonies, heart-pounding live music and searing spoken word, Orpheus & Eurydice is a show for anyone who has fallen in love, and for anyone who has lost it.

Orpheus & Eurydice premiered off Broadway at SoHo Playhouse in New York. These UK "masters of storytelling" (Fourth Wall Media, Australia) have toured Orpheus across the globe, and Eurydice won the Best Theatre Award at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2019. Now the two halves of an ancient whole combine.

With words by Alexander Wright (Beulah, Fable) and music from Phil Grainger (Clive) the show is created with Serena Manteghi (seen in Build A Rocket and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the SJT) and Casey Jay Andrews (The Archive Of Educated Hearts).

“Charming, uplifting… simple storytelling at its finest”
