The world-famous seabird colonies of Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Head have long been home to one of the UK's most incredible natural spectacles. Our tour has been specially created to make the most of this unique place, exploring both land and sea with local guides and the chance to see over 100 species!
At Bempton amongst the packed ledges and terraces of the dramatic, 400-foot high cliffs there are Gannets, Guillemots, Razorbills, Puffins, Fulmars, Kittiwakes and Shags. All these amazing birds can be seen in huge numbers. There will also be opportunities to see Harbour Porpoises and Grey Seals. In spring 2016 there were even Bottle-nosed and White-beaked Dolphins on our coastline!
At the top of Filey, Scarborough and Flamborough cliffs we will be searching for migrant birds returning from Africa and on their way to the Arctic! At this time of year anything can turn up from regular but scarce birds such as the tiny Firecrest to unusual species such as Citrine Wagtail. Local expert guides have up-to-the-minute news on all the bird sightings, meaning you will have the best chance possible to get good views. You will also have the opportunity to learn and share knowledge in a small group environment.
Please note: times and destinations can change depending on weather and birds!
