Scarborough¹s North Marine Road is a cricket watchers delight, regularly hosting Championship and one-day matches in the coastal sunshine.

Another great spectacle is the 5-day Scarborough Cricket Festival played in August, plus another 5 days earlier in the summer. If you love cricket and fancy a day by the sea too, you¹ll be bowled over by Scarborough.

We are an open friendly club and welcome new players to come along and see us.

Club/Gift Shop - Yorkshire County Cricket Club shop in the Tea Room area of the Trafalgar Square Enclosure on major match days only.

Car Parking Facilities - Parking not available in the ground on major match days but a cricket park and ride system operates. Parking on the Popular Bank walkway on all other occasions.

Key Events - Ten days of County Cricket in July/August period over two separate weeks including the annual Scarborough Cricket Festival.

Corporate Hospitality - Available on major match days in the Pavilion Lounge in the Pavilion and on Festival major match days in the marquee. Other facilities could possibility be made available according to demand.

On site refreshments - Morning coffee with biscuits, three course luncheon (with wines if required) and traditional afternoon tea available in the Pavilion on major match days.
Light refreshments and snacks available from the Lean TO, Tea Room and West Stand on major match days.

Festival Diner mobile unit serving burgers, hot roast meat sandwiches, chips etc. and a separate fish mobile unit situated on the Popular Bank on major match days.
Traditional cricket teas, sandwiches and other light refreshments available in the Pavilion on club cricket match day afternoons.

Opening details

Open Monday to Friday all major match days and first eleven Scarborough match days. Season Dates: Club cricket from mid/end April to mid September. Major match days, generally July and August (2010 dates will not be known until mid-November).


Free entry

General Admission Prices/Ticket Prices: Major match days - adults £15.00, o.a.p.'s and juniors £10.00, accompanied children 12 and under free on any day of a four day match.

By Road:
Enter town via either A170 or A64 to town centre, turn left at traffic lights near Stephen Joseph theatre. At next lights (Police Station) turn right into Victoria Road and into Castle Road. Straight on at the next lights then left into North Marine Road (B1364) at the roundabout; ground is on left opposite the former Cricketers Public House. Parking - turn left through main gate, park on top of Popular Bank (on club match days only), otherwise on street disc parking or use the signposted cricket park and ride system.

Park and Ride
Entering Scarborough on the A171 to town centre, at the traffic lights on Falsgrave (on passing Mitchell's office equipment & New Tavern Public House) turn right. Then 2nd left onto St. James Road (Side of Kingdom Hall), at the junction turn right and left at the roundabout, under the railway bridge and turn right onto Ashburn Road.

Entering town on A64 head towards town centre. At 1st set of lights (B&Q) straight on. At the mini roundabout straight on passed the football ground on the left. Straight on at next lights (crossing) and then keep to centre of road and take right hand lane for next lights. Turn right and straight on at the roundabout, under the railway bridge and turn right onto Ashburn Road. There are signs for the Park and Ride. There are buses to the Cricket Ground when large events are on.

Entering Scarborough on the A170 at the first set of traffic lights (Falsgrave) turn right. Then 2nd left onto St. James Road (Side of Kingdom Hall), at the junction turn right and left at the roundabout, under the railway bridge and turn right onto Ashburn Road.
There is also park and ride at Burniston road car park on the A165 Burniston Road - when travelling from the North on the A171 turn left at the Three Jolly Sailors in Burniston and travel along Coastal Road to Scalby, over Scalby Beck bridge on to Burniston Road and the car park is on the left hand side after the golf course.

By Public Transport:
There are taxis at the railway station. If on foot cross the road towards Stephen Joseph Theatre. At the traffic lights turn right into Victoria Road and on into Castle Road. Straight on at the next lights and then left into North Marine Road at the roundabout. The ground is approx. 1/3 mile down North Marine Road on the left opposite the former Cricketers Public House.
