The Society was founded in February 1976 as the Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society & attracts members from a wide area around Scarborough. It currently meets on the 3rd Friday of each month at the East Ayton Village Hall at 19:00 except December and August & visitors are always welcome.

Opening details

Public viewing nights take place the first Friday of each month 8pm - 10pm at the observing area in Dalby Forest except June, July and August. Private star Parties and tours of night sky can be arranged. For further info contact email:
