Dive in head first into our amazing underwater world!

Waddle with our adorable Humboldt penguins in their walkthrough home, Penguin Island. This specialist enclosure was designed to let our guests get closer than ever before to our incredible feathered friends and they’re not shy about saying hello!

Stop by our specialist Seal Hospital and meet this year’s seal pup patients our teams have saved from our local coastal waters. Follow their journey through rescue, rehabilitation and release.

Discover the truth about the much-misunderstood shark, the plight of the endangered sea turtle, the remarkable life of the seahorse plus countless surprising facts about these and hundreds of other incredible creatures.

Scarborough SEA LIFE Sanctuary is a unique indoor and outdoor attraction ideal for a family day out as well as an unforgettable entertaining and educational experience. Enjoy regular talks and feeding demonstrations throughout the day, and try your hand at our new Dive Adventure Quiz trail.

Discover what it takes to rescue, rehabilitate and release endangered turtles in the wild in this before new interactive experience!

You’ll be able to get hands-on in the rescue centre, weighing, feeding and washing your very own interactive turtle whilst learning the importance of conservation along the way.

Last admission is one hour before closing time. We are closed on Christmas day and Boxing Day. Please see www.sealife.co.uk for any daily changes to opening times.

Follow brown signs for North bay attractions and continue along A165 following signs for Whitby. The turn off for the Sea Life Centre is along Scalby Mills Road on the right hand side of the road. Look out for the Ivanhoe Public House.

By Public Transport:
Bus service 9A terminates at Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary.
