Grant Perkins
The second comic book artist has been announced for popular family orientated pop culture event Sci-Fi Scarborough. Grant Perkins will be joining in the fun next April for the whole weekend.
Margate based Grant Perkins is a comic book artist and writer who has worked for WWE, Doctor Who, 2000AD, Titan Comics and much more.
He wrote and drew Doctor Who’s “Strax and the Time Shark” and is currently working for WWE Kids Magazine where he writes and draws the colourful grapplers of the WWE.

Graham Humphreys
KING OF HORROR FILM ART JOINS SCI-FI SCARBOROUGH
Sci-Fi Scarborough have booked an artist responsible for the posters of some of the scariest films of the 80s. Graham Humphreys will be joining the ever growing list of guests for the weekend next April.
Graham Humphreys is a London based (West Country born) illustrator and designer specialising in the horror genre. Since leaving college in 1980, Graham has been freelance. His career found it’s footing with the UK poster for ‘The Evil Dead’, followed a couple of years later with the UK poster for ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’. During the 1980s he worked on many video covers (including ‘Return Of The Living Dead’, ‘Creepers’, ‘The Kindred’) for companies such as Palace Pictures. In the 1990s, as illustration fell out of favour, Graham’s work with Tartan Films and Tartan Video bridged the gap until Arrow Video and Death Waltz records pioneered a new era of illustrated covers, bringing wider exposure and a renewed interest in original art. Current commissions include LP box sets, blu-ray covers, private commissions and special event posters. In November 2019, a book of artwork ‘Hung, Drawn, Executed’ was published by Korero Press (koreropress.com). Graham has always regarded his work as a marriage of Punk Rock and Hammer Horror, no greater demonstration of this than his poster for The Damned’s 2019, London Palladium event ‘A Night Of A Thousand Vampires’.

Doctor Colin Baker
We are very happy to announce that the sixth Doctor Colin Baker will be joining us for SFS 7 this April, there's going to be a Doctor Who convention within SFS called Whoniverse, full details will be released shortly.
Before being selected to replace Peter Davison as the 6th Doctor (1984-1986), Baker was an established television actor. His most notable role was Paul Merroney in The Brothers. Baker also guest starred as Bayban the Butcher in the Blake's 7 episode "City at the Edge of the World".

Richard Piers-Rayner
Local comic book artist Richard Piers-Rayner will be appearing at pop culture event Sci-Fi Scarborough this April.
Richard Piers Rayner began his professional comic career in 1988, illustrating for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. His works include Hellblazer, Swamp Thing, L.E.G.I.O.N., Doctor Fate, and Doctor Who. His most notable work is Road to Perdition, which was adapted into a film in 2002, starring Tom Hanks, and directed by Sam Mendes.
He is also a frequent contributor to the DC publications, Paradox Press, and is artist in residence at Middlesbrough FC. In November 2008 he wrote and illustrated Middlesbrough FC - The Unseen History.

Michael Jayston
Michael Jayston played The Valeyard, a Time Lord-like individual, who, according to the Master, was an amalgamation of the Doctor's darker sides from between his twelfth and final incarnations, who frequently menaced the Sixth Doctor so he could take the Doctor's remaining lives.

Simon Fisher-Becker
Sci-Fi Scarborough announce another Doctor Who guest and welcome back the enigmatic Simon Fisher-Becker, a British stage, television and film actor, specialising in comedy and character parts. His more notable roles include The Fat Friar in the Harry Potter film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and Dorium Maldovar in series 5 and 6 of Doctor Who.
Dorium Maldovar was a black marketeer in the 52nd century who owned a bar that gained its wares through questionable means. He was beheaded by the Headless Monks but his severed head, which retained its life and sentience, was kept in the Seventh Transept.
Simon will be joining us for Saturday Only.
The guest reserves the right to cancel any appearance at any time due to work commitments.
