Paddle Boarding

Details

Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is fast becoming one of the quickest growing water sports worldwide. With wide floaty, stable boards to help the novice pick things up relatively easily and calm conditions perfect for learning almost anyone can try their hand at paddle boarding. For the more experienced rider, SUP’s provide the perfect alternative method of getting out and riding waves anywhere from 1-10ft.

For those just wanting to test their balance and try something new stand-up paddling offers the perfect craft to explore the coastline and our very own Cayton bay, from steady cruising to all-out speed paddling this exciting new sport is perfect for improving both balance and fitness even when there’s little to no surf.

With the basics being easily mastered it’s also a great activity for the whole family and the perfect way of introducing kids to the wonderful world of water sports, we are sure whatever your age or personal ability stand up paddle boarding will allow you to experience something new and exciting whilst providing a great alternative to help improve your surfing skills, balance and fitness.
We provide all the kit you will just need to bring swimwear a towel and a sense of adventure!
Even during heavy sea’s the offshore reef creates the perfect lagoon setting for flat water Paddle Boarding through the lower tides allowing us to run lessons year round and with 2 board sizes of either 10.5ft or 11.5ft you can move up or down in length depending on your ability and balance!

With a little practice, you will be able to take the boards out into small waves and start catching allowing you to experience the glide of surfing without the need to learn the pop-up techniques some people find difficult. Surfing on a SUP is great fun even for the most accomplished surfer and allows you to maximise conditions you would maybe no consider surfing on a conventional board.
So regardless of whether you want a physical challenge or a casual potter around the bay our fleet of SUP’s can make calm or small wave days fun again…
