Victorian Christmas Market at Westborough

There’s no Bah Humbug in Scarborough this Christmas as we are going all Victorian to commemorate 200 years since the birth of Queen Victoria. Alongside the eclectic mix of individual, High Street shops and eateries, the ‘Queen of the Yorkshire Coast’ will warmly welcome a special Victorian Christmas Market from 10th to 15th December.

Wrap up warm and pay a visit to uniquely Victorian themed Christmas huts and discover that unique Christmas Gift you have been looking for – look out for Queen Victoria herself who’ll be around to keep a watchful eye on proceedings! Watch the dazzling Victorian Juggler with fire, balls, clubs and rope and take the children on a journey back in time and be dazzled by the magical mayhem of close up magic tricks.

There’s more interactive family fun with Victorian games such as snakes and ladders, crochet, jack sticks, graces, hoopla and other fun period board games. A candle making demonstration will show off the skills and methods required for this all important part of Victorian life with candles made from Bees Wax and Tallow.

The Scarborough Victorian Christmas Market will be on Westborough, near the Brunswick Centre, from Tuesday 10th December until Sunday 15th December, including late night shopping on Thursday 12th.
