Wartime Weekend at Scarborough Castle

Wartime Weekend at Scarborough Castle

Discover history from both World Wars at Scarborough Castle this weekend. Ask our soldiers about life during the war and see their weapons on display. Find out more about the recruitment process with our WW1 British Army Training Non-Commissioned Officer and join our Air Raid Warden on his journey of Civil Defence in WW2.

Members of the Home Guard will also be on hand to show you how you can stop a German tank using nothing more than household implements! Hear some popular 1940's tunes performed by 'The Honeybirds' and junior soldiers can see if they've got what it takes with our obstacle course.
