Details
As an experienced photographer and film maker, and a qualified biologist specializing in animal behavior and herpetology, Nicholas has the expertise required to photograph natural behaviors’ in the wild. Nicholas has also directed two wildlife web-series and is currently working on a third whilst now working full time in digital marketing as the creative director for his own company. The course is open to ages 12 and older. Nicholas has considerable experience working with young people and has an Advanced DBS certificate.
The course will explore the core principles of camera operation and photography, providing ample tutelage and time to explore the concepts presented. In addition to spending time in the “classroom” to understand the theory, a considerable portion of the course will be focused on spending time outdoors gaining valuable experience in observing and photographing nature and working as a group to deliver feedback and improve the quality of everyone’s work.
Whilst this course is focused on wildlife photography specifically, the skills presented and developed are applicable to all areas of photography and so I would encourage anyone looking to develop their skills to join us on this course. The course will work from the basic principles and so is suitable for beginners or for anyone with experience in other areas looking to learn more about wildlife
photography.
