Details
The Duke of Wellington Inn is an ivy-clad traditional 18thC inn located in the tranquil village of Danby at the heart of the North York Moors. Used as a recruiting post by local regiments during the Napoleonic Wars, a cast iron plaque of the Duke of Wellington can be found mounted above the main fireplace.
We offer a range of Camra award-winning ales, interesting wines and malt whiskies that can be enjoyed in front of the open fire in our friendly locals' bar. Our popular home-made meals are served at lunch and dinner and are available in either the bar or dining-room.
The 9 individually decorated en suite bedrooms are all centrally heated and equipped with colour TV and tea/coffee-making facilities.
The Duke of Wellington Inn makes an ideal base for exploring North York Moors, Whitby and the coast.
Children welcome from any age.
