Details

Blues enthusiasts, live music lovers and aspiring musicians across the country are in for a very special treat, when Connie Lush, Kyla Brox and Erja Lyytinen embark on their nine date UK Tour in March 2018.

The three ladies will be appearing at Whitby Pavilion Theatre on Wednesday 21st March, the first show of their tour, in what promises to be a very special night indeed.

Liverpool's Connie Lush, a five-time winner of best UK vocalist and twice European Blues vocalist of the year, is regarded as one of the finest blues singers in the UK. She received the ultimate seal of approval in 1998 when she toured the UK with the great BB King, who remarked 'That woman makes my heart sing.'

Kyla Brox’s voice is a stunning example of the soul singer's art: turning up the heat by degrees, lulling and charming before unleashing emotional catharsis, and blurring the distinction between pleasure and pain like the soul greats of old; she remains the most authentic UK blues and soul singer of her generation.

Since first setting foot in a recording studio 15 years ago, Erja Lyytinen has become a bona fide star in her homeland of Finland, and a celebrated fixture on the international music scene. She has recorded nine studio albums in locations as diverse as Helsinki, Memphis and Clarksdale, Mississippi, combining traditional and modern blues with jazz, pop and soul, earning numerous awards for both her singing and guitar playing along the way.

This evening represents a Blues scene summit meeting; each artist in her own right is singularly superb, but all three on the same bill? Words alone cannot convey the magic in store for those lucky enough to grab a ticket.
