St. Hilda's Way Walk01723 383636workWalking RouteThe inspiration for this walk came in 2014 from Barry Pyke, the Rector of Hinderwell. Barry casually mentioned that a group of churches in the Whitby area were looking for a project to celebrate the birth of Hilda 1400 years ago in 614.
The result is St Hilda's Way, a 40 mile long-distance footpath in North Yorkshire, where Hilda was once Abbess of Whitby Abbey.
This book is being published in order to raise funds for Christian Aid and the Whitby Churches' Mission Fund (who will receive all profits once expenses have been paid).
