The Green Dragon Ale House

The Green Dragon Ale House

Details

The Green Dragon sells the finest beers around which are carefully selected by our knowledgeable staff. Whether you want to sample a range of Yorkshire ales, try experimental craft cans, or be refreshed by European specialities, the bottle shop offers a great beer for whatever you enjoy. Stock is constantly rotating and being updated, we are passionate about good quality beer and delivering fantastic products for our customers.

There is also our fantastic Georgian themed tap room. Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, this hidden gem always has three interesting and delicious beers on. However, we can boast a selection of over 190 beers and ciders as you are welcome to pick up a bottle straight off the shop shelf and relax with it in our cosy bar. If you want to try a Belgian beer the right way, we also have the correct glasses to pair with your drink, helping to make your visit to Whitby that little bit more special.

Beer makes a wonderful gift for family and friends. We can make up a three beer gift set for you as well as ones linked to particular breweries. If the choice is too hard, there are gift vouchers available that come in a wax sealed envelope, adding that extra touch. As well as these options, we often have larger bottles that are either limited edition or uncommon, making them an excellent choice for a beer connoisseur.

Our tap room is available for hire as well. This intimate space is well suited for beer tasting events but is a great venue for birthday, Christmas, and work parties too. With enough notice, we can source some outstanding beer to add even more merriment to your party.

And remember, it comes in pints!

Notes

There is plenty of room in the shop for wheelchair users and our tables in the tap room are at a good height. We do have soft drinks available, gluten free beers, and non-alcoholic beers. There is one toilet available for tap room users. It has flat access but currently has no handrails. In the tap room, there is no menu available as customers are welcome to browse the shelves to pick a beer or ask for recommendations from a staff member. The constant changing of the stock means there are always new tipples to enjoy and sample. We have chalkboards with the beers on draught written in a large white font on a black background.
