Town Trail

A Treasure Trail is a printed booklet containing all the directions needed for a self guided walk, drive or cycling expedition.

The trails cost just £5 and provide families with a multi-generational, inexpensive, memorial, healthy and educational activity. The young enjoy the 'hide and seek thrill' of having to find the answers to the clues. Older people enjoy the aesthetic nature of the trail which takes them to places they would not necessarily otherwise have gone to, and does so in a way that gets them to stop and explore the interesting history of the location. A Treasure Trail is so much more than just a walk, drive or bike ride.

Trailers complete a Murder Mystery, Treasure Hunt or a Spy Trail in their own time and at their own pace, following our directions around the best historic and scenic sights. Each trail has clues to solve, and the answer to each clue can be found on a plaque, monument, war memorial, church etc.

Once Trailers have found the answers to the clue - that name, date or place can be eliminated from the list on the back cover. In the case of the Spy Trail the answer is filled in on a special grid. Eventually by the time Trailers have walked all the way the location, solving the clues as they go they will have solved the mystery! By then they have had a good walk and good fun interacting with other people in their party and have learned something about the local history. Also, b submitting a correct solution to us participants can enter the draw to win a cash prize. At the end of each year there is a winner from every location drawn from all correct entries received.
