Getting Noticed

Did you know, there are opportunities to promote your work for free through the Discover Yorkshire Coast website?

Aimed primarily at signposting tourists and visitors, the Discover Yorkshire Coast website already lists venues, attractions, places to go and things to do.   Visitors to the town can plan what they’re going to do before they arrive.  The website generates a significant amount of traffic directly but also through web searches; with high ranking search results.  You could be a part of it.

If you connect directly with the public then you can list yourself as an Arts, Culture or Crafting individual or business for FREE and your listing will remain active until 31 March 2022.  After that, if you’d like to renew then a small administration fee of £50 annually would be payable (other packages are available too).

Your listing can carry your name (or business name), a description of what you do, an address and other contact details, an image, opening times and categorisation for the search engines.  We would envisage this option being appropriate for those who have a base that the public can visit, who offer a service to the public at venues around the borough or present virtual experiences online.

Diversifying what you do so that you can also become an attraction is a good way of developing new and unexpected customers.

Whether you list yourself or not, if you hold occasional events, workshops, virtual experiences or if you’re participating in larger events, you can list these on the website to promote them to a wider, or different, audience.

And finally, we would also like to create a space on the website where all arts creatives are listed for FREE; whether you work directly with the public or not.  This could assist other arts organisations to connect with you and what you do.
