About
Humble Bee Farm Caravanning and Camping offers a peaceful rural holiday campsite location while being a short distance from the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. This working arable and stock farm is perfectly placed for exploring the North York Moors, nearby bustling market towns or the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington and Whitby.
Humble Bee Farm campsite includes excellent facilities and an extensive events calendar each year with regular favourites such as Lambing and Calving Weekends, Bat Watches, Creepy Crawly evenings, Cowboy & Indian Weekends, and our famous Hallowe'en celebration!
Humble Bee Farm Caravan and Camping site is situated on a working farm in a truly idyllic location. The site is peaceful and immaculate, with two electric and four non electric tent pitches, two shower blocks, children's play area and a warm Yorkshire welcome. Humble Bee Farm is popular with families and couples, while dogs are also welcome - we have plenty of dog walks and rambles on our doorstep.
During the summer season an on-site shop sells all the essentials including souvenirs, sweets, toys, hot & cold drinks and local bacon, sausages and eggs.
Our free-range hens lay delicious eggs - you could collect one for breakfast! The campsite, famed for its tranquil farm location, nestles in the heart of 320 acres of farmland which changes with the seasons: you can see green shoots in the spring, golden crops in the summer and autumn and velvety brown fields in the winter.
The nearby coast is lovely to visit at any time of year: Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, Filey Brigg and Robin Hood's Bay are all famous for their natural wildlife and bird-life. If you feel nicely relaxed after exploring coast and country then attractions such as Castle Howard, Flamingo Land, Rievaulx Abbey, the designer discount shopping at McArthur Glen and Hornsea Freeport are waiting to be enjoyed.
For the more energetic, Yorkshire is renowned for its cycling routes, more arduous walks and is popular with long-distance runners. From lush lowlands to rugged cliff top routes, from farm paths to old railway routes, there is something for every age and ability. Dalby Forest in particular is the destination for keen cyclists and walkers with over 2,600 km of marked cycle trails waiting to be explored.
The Cleveland Way and Yorkshire Wolds Way pass close to the farm so our campsite is an ideal place to stay if you are traversing these glorious National Trails.
Yorkshire is not without its fair share of historic locations such as York, with its magnificent Minster, charming shops and world-class National Railway Museum. Discover the Roman market towns of Malton, Beverley, and Pickering, all of which have a host of places to eat, relax and shop. Golf, tennis and gym facilities are very close by.
Golf, tennis and gym facility approximately 1 and a half miles away. Cycle routes close by. Fishing - both course and sea fishing available close by. Clay pigeon shooting only half a mile. Situated on the Wolds Way.
The site also includes The Hive, a café bar that offers takeaway drinks, a tasty meal menu, barista coffee and an alfresco dining area. Breakfast sandwiches, pizzas, burgers and cakes are also available at peak times. Next door you’ll find the onsite shop with souvenirs, firepit timber, locally-brewed beers, wines and Prosecco.
