About

Butler's Cottage is a delightful home from home in the pretty village of Cloughton, a short drive from the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. It is owned and managed by Cober Hill, the long established Conference and Events Centre with accommodation. Cober Hill was founded by the Rowntree family from York a hundred years ago, and has been enjoyed by thousands of people over the years, many of whom maintain an abiding and lifelong affection to this beautiful place, whether they have come in a group or as private guests.

It is a completely self-contained cottage within the grounds of Cober Hill. Guests are welcome to use the many facilities offered by Cober Hill, including a children's play area, tangle trail, tennis courts, croquet lawn, extensive gardens, clock golf and putting green. All set within eleven acres of attractive and well-maintained gardens. With the sea less than mile away, the North Yorkshire coast enjoys spectacular sunrises as well as dark night skies and occasionally, even the Northern Lights.

The house dates back to the Arts and Crafts period of the 1800s, and retains many of its original features. It has recently been refurbished and is furnished in a comfortable and contemporary style that compliments the leaded windows and other features of this comfortable holiday home. It has the benefit of an attractive private garden and a peaceful location, with no shortage of things to see and do right on the doorstep. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a comfy sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen.
