About
East Cliff Cottages are under the cliff in the old quarter of town between the Abbey steps and the sea in a narrow, cobbled street leading from Market Square to the East Pier. Shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants can be found nearby on Church Street. Over the harbour bridge, just a short walk away, are the larger shops, entertainments, fish quay, railway and bus stations.
The old houses have been carefully modernised to form three ground floor apartments and three cottages. All have superb, uninterrupted views of the small busy harbour, across the bay and out to sea. Balconies, terraces and steps lead down to a private gate and the safe, sandy beach below.
They are in a quiet location on a street with no through traffic and vehicle access is restricted to residents only.
Parking is provided in the private car park - rare in Old Whitby
The cottages and apartments are completely self-contained, with bathrooms, fridges, cookers, microwave ovens, toasters, smart TVs and garden furniture on the balconies.
Cots and high-chairs are available - just let us know when booking. Bed linen and towels are available on request.
