About
Gowland Farm Cottages offers visitors to Scarborough, North Yorkshire, four charming self-catering cottages complete with heated indoor swimming pool. Situated in the beautiful North York Moors National Park they are only two miles from the coast, ideally placed for the seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby. The cottages have been individually and beautifully converted from traditional Yorkshire stone farm buildings into homes that feature beamed ceilings and co-ordinated colour schemes. The facilities make them ideal for holidays throughout the year – cosy retreats during the winter and fresh, bright outlooks for the summer.The farmhouse was built in 1850. Since 1986 the outbuildings and barn have been converted to form the four cottages, each with its own charm and character. The garden has been developed into a haven in which to relax and enjoy the stunning views and peace and quiet.

From Scarborough: Follow the A171 to Whitby. As you leave Scalby turn left, signposted Wrea Head Country Hotel. Go straight across the next crossroads and turn left at the bottom of the hill – both signposted Harwood Dale. At the top of the hill take the second right into Gowland Lane (note the post-box on the junction). Gowland Farm Cottages are 1 mile along on the right.
From Whitby: Follow the A171 to Scarborough. Just over 1 mile after 'The Falcon Inn' turn right onto Gowland Lane, we are ½ mile down on the left.
