About
High Mill Pickering is a complex built around an old corn mill dating back to the 12th century, just below Pickering castle on the rural edge of this traditional North Yorkshire market town, yet within a short stroll of the town centre. It also sits right next to the world-renowned North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), close to Pickering Station. Pickering is also an excellent base to explore the moors, coast, Dalby Forest cycle trails and Yorkshire’s may fine attractions.High Mill House, Sleeps 12
All rooms have unrivalled views of the NYMR, with fantastic photo opportunities and a bird’s eye view from the top floor. Watch them occasionally use the turntable or just lap up the atmosphere as each steam locomotive stops right outside your window and waits for the northern points to change.
Then follow the engine and sit at the picnic table at the end of our mature garden to enjoy views of the train in Pickering Station.
The house is on three floors with four ensuite bedrooms (2 with 1 Double and 1 single bed + 2 with 3 single beds), lounge and kitchen/diner. A large wet room with drying area makes it ideal for walkers and cyclists – safe bike storage is provided.
