About
'Camp Pinewood' is home to 12 Tipi (teepee) modern tents. These are all a great way to enjoy camping without having to pitch your own tent. They are set near a wooded area and offer something different - the perfect way to spend quality time with family and friends and unwind from the stresses of everyday life and are an environmentally friendly holiday. The Tipis include carpets, a double brown faux leather futon and two single cube chair/beds, metered electric, two electric sockets, a light and a heater. They are on wooden decks, raised off the ground, and have a picnic bench on the grass near by. Guests need to bring along their own bedding and camping equipment.
'Woody's Western Town' is home to Western Wagons (similar to pods), Camping Shacks (similar to Wigwams), Camping Cabins and a Luxury Camping Lodge. These all include beds for four people (two adults & two children), metered electric, a light, heater, kettle, toaster, microwave and toaster. This wooden accommodation is double glazed and insulated and is very cosy.
The camping field offers spacious pitches, on a sheltered field. All the pitches have the option of metered electric.
The touring caravan, camper and motorhome area has spacious, hard-standing pitches, with grassed areas in between. All with the option of metered electric. This caravan area is open all year round, but toilet and shower facilities are not available October - March.
The shower and toilet blocks are central to the site.
There's a separate, safe play field for families and children, as well as the wooded area, which children love to explore.
Pinewood Park can be hired out exclusively for weddings, celebrations, meetings, team building, corporate events, product launches, charity events and photo shoots.
Pinewood is a great base for exploring all that Scarborough and North Yorkshire has to offer. Although only one and a half miles from Scarborough town centre Pinewood gives easy access to all major routes in and out of Scarborough. Both the North and South beaches are within three miles, as is Peasholm Park, the indoor swimming pool, casino and cinemas. There are many pubs, restaurants and cafés, and a number of night clubs to enjoy. There are two lovely picturesque villages within two miles; between these there are five pubs (some serving superb good value home cooked meals) two convenience stores, a newsagent, post office, two chip shops and a petrol station. The nearest shop and pub is within one mile. Flamingoland Theme Park and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is only a short drive away (approx half an hour) as well as Dalby Forest National Park. The historic city of York is only 40 miles away and the seaside towns of Whitby, Filey and Bridlington are all only a short car or bus journey away. Cyclists can even enjoy the old railway line and cycle safely all the way to Whitby. Pinewood is a great place to stay for walkers, cyclists, surfers, fishing and golf enthusiasts, and artists. Everyone is always welcome.

Map & Directions
Road Directions
Road Directions By Road:We are quite easy to find as we are on the main Scarborough to Pickering Road (A170). There are no little farm lanes or side roads to go down, so access is very good compared with some sites. The site is set back, so even though Pinewood is directly off the main road, it is still very quiet. From A64: After Staxton roundabout we are approx. 3 miles from Scarborough. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit (Seamer, Ayton) onto Main Street, Seamer. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit (straight on). Take the first right onto Irton Moor Lane. Carry on and at the top of the road turn right. Carry on up the hill for a couple of minutes only and as you see the speed limit change to 40MPH we are immediately on your left.
