About
Originally built in the 17th century Plumpton Court has been owned and run by Chris Braithwaite and his family for over 24 years and has been lovingly restored to a modern bed and breakfast with tastefully decorated rooms, all of which have traditional features.
It has six comfortable rooms each with its own individual character and en-suite bathroom, most with bath and shower.
Plumpton Court is not a big hotel but it is licensed with a cosy lounge bar full of useful information to help you plan your stay.
Come and relax in front of the real fire with a bottle of wine, then enjoy a leisurely Yorkshire breakfast with locally sourced ingredients, and our very own homemade marmalade, or indulge in Chris's smoked salmon & scrambled eggs!
Chris and Jenny are the most convivial hosts and nothing is too much trouble to ensure you receive the best Yorkshire hospitality and get the most out of your visit to North Yorkshire.
On arriving at Plumpton Court most visitors are surprised to discover its lounge bar area with real fire. Not only is it well stocked with drinks but it has a wealth of local information about the area; maps, menus for local eateries, detailed sheets for local walks, and games and puzzles to keep you entertained.
All rooms have all the facilities you would expect; hospitality tray, hairdryer, TV/DVD player and radio. There is also a DVD library and free Wifi connection.
To the rear of the house is a private gated resident’s car park and a secluded garden for guest use.
Yorkshire Hospitality at its best.
