Saxonville Hotel is a family run hotel located in a peaceful location on Whitby's West Cliff, just off the seafront, and within walking distance to the town centre and beach.

All our 23 en suite bedrooms are tastefuly decorated and furnished to high standards. Each spacious room has a TV with radio, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

The Fairfield restaurant offers traditional English Food prepared daily in the kitchens and complimented by homemade speciality desserts.

Due to Parking Restrictions, we keep our Car Park locked.

    Road Directions

    By Road: Directions from the West or South 1. M62 Leeds 2. A64 York 3. Around York By Pass to Malton bypass 4. Take A169 off Malton By Pass - Pickering 5. Straight through Pickering - over Moors - Sleights 6. Straight through Sleights up bank to roundabout 7. Turn right towards Whitby 8. Follow signs for West Cliff - on West Cliff you will see a large building with 4 towers - turn right in-land on to Argyle Road. Ladysmith Avenue is the first turning right after the garage. Directions from the North 1. Follow the A19 South to Middlesbrough. 2. Go over the Middlesbrough flyover (the Showcase Cinema is on your right.) 3. Turn off the A19 onto the A174 - sign posted Guisborough, Scarborough and Whitby. 4. Follow the signs for the A171 - this will bring you around the Guisborough by-pass and over the moors to Whitby. (If it is busy, then it is advisable to follow the “Whitby and Scarborough Diversion Signs” which are on the A174.) 5. As you come down off the moors turn left towards Whitby. 6. Follow signs for West Cliff - on West Cliff you will see a large building with 4 towers- turn right in land on to Argyle Road. Ladysmith Avenue is the first turning right after the garage. By Public Transport: Train from York to Scarborough, then Arriva Bus X93 to Whitby Station, or by the Arriva X4 from Middlesbrough. On arrival either a taxi or walk.
