About

The Old Forge Cottages are clearly converted stables, and lie beyond the courtyard at The Old Forge. They are cosy fully self-contained, and are ideal for a holiday for 2 people. All facilities are on the ground floor, apart from the bedroom.

Many of our guests are frequent visitors, and we look forward to their return visits.

We have so many places of interest within a short journey, including the NYM Railway at Pickering, now travelling right through to Whitby. Dalby Forest, wonderful for cycling and walking is on our doorstep, and not far away is Scarborough, York, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, Helmsley and much, much more.

An added advantage is our excellent bus service. The bus stops outside The Old Forge, enabling guest to leave the car behind for the day. The cottages are available from 3pm and we ask that they are vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

In these cosy cottages, the bedroom is accessed by a short flight of stairs, all other facilities being on the ground floor. There are many leisure activities and places of interest in the area. For choice of travel, there is a bus-stop outside on the main road. The owners live on-site.
