The Royal Oak Inn is situated in the heart of the rural Ryedale village of Gillamoor, on the edge of the North York Moors.

The Inn currently has 8 letting bedrooms, all of which are en-suite with shower/bath, WC and washbasin. All rooms are centrally heated and each bedroom has tea/coffee making facilities, freeview flat screen televisions and wireless broadband connection. Radio alarm clocks and hairdryers provided.

Full English breakfast included in the price of the room. Packed lunches available on request. Residents' car park to the rear of Inn. Arrival from 16.00.

The Royal Oak is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. A la Carte menu and daily specials board, vegetarian and children's menus on request.

The Inn is ideally situated for walking and there is a 18 hole golf course nearby at Kirkbymoorside. Local Attractions include Farndale (Spring Daffodil Walk), Hutton-Le-Hole Museum of Rural Life, Castle Howard Stately Home, North York Moors Railway at Pickering, Helmsley with its individual shops and Castle and many attractive coastal resorts just a short drive away.

Road Directions

By Road: A170 Helmsley to Scarborough road. Left at roundabout at Kirkbymoorside. Turn left at the mini roundabout at the top of the town. Follow the road until it forks left for Fadmoor and right to Gillamoor. Continue on the right fork to Gillamoor. The Royal Oak is on your right where Queen Street joins Main Street. Car park just before Inn on right.
