About

Situated in the historic market town of Pickering, The White Swan Inn is exactly what a traditional Inn should be ... simple, luxurious and welcoming.

From the moment you arrive at this 16th century coaching inn, you'll feel completely at home. It's the fusion of real Yorkshire hospitality and home comforts that makes the place so special. Whether you book a smartly designed Hideaway a Vintage or a Treat room or are simply visiting to dine in our restaurant, a warm and friendly Yorkshire welcome awaits you from one of our team.

Guests can choose from one of our 21 individually designed bedrooms; tuck up in a Vintage room in the main hotel or one of the Hideaway rooms in the converted stables. Our rooms are unbelievably comfortable, indulgent even. Each room has its own theme with the comfiest beds, the finest bed linen, plump cushions and carefully chosen furniture. All our bathrooms are sparkling and white with deep baths and big shower heads, a selection of luxurious toiletries and fluffy bath robes. DVDs are freely available from our library and every room has free Wi-Fi internet access.

Here at The White Swan Inn you'll experience great tasting, well presented, simple food - so good that you'll want to return again and again. Our ethos is clear; simple goodness from fresh ingredients that are sourced in-season, properly cooked, presented and put on your table with a minimum of food miles, after all, Yorkshire is the pantry of England! We have been AA Rosette accredited since 1997 and in 2013 the hotel was awarded 2 AA Rosettes, which is retained today.

Perfectly located, The White Swan Inn is surrounded by the moors; fabulous walking, Castle Howard and Whitby all wait.
