About
Situated in the National Park, magnificently perched above the sweep of Saltwick Bay, this park commands spectacular views of the coastline in a beautifully rural cliff top setting. To complete the panorama the striking silhouette of Whitby Abbey pierces the skyline dramatically defining the point at which the moors meet the sea. The moody ruins of Whitby Abbey, made famous by Bram Stoker's Dracula, provide a stunning backdrop to the beaches in this area where bathing, rock pooling and fossil hunting are popular pastimes.
Secluded coves, sandy beaches and pretty fishing villages play host to an array of wildlife where the sound of the waves, the freshest sea air and an abundance of seabirds can be enjoyed. The Cleveland Way provides walkers with access to unparalleled views from the coast path, whilst cyclists can exploit the vista from the former Scarborough to Whitby railway line. A bus runs from Whitby to local coastal attractions and driving is a pleasure on the beautifully scenic rural roads which lace between moor and seashore. Whitby is another local treasure, a quaint maritime town with cobbled streets, picturesque terracotta tiled houses and unique shops selling specialities such as Whitby Jet, locally smoked kippers and nautical memorabilia. The Captain Cook Museum, Dracula Experience, restaurants, cafés, galleries and sea shanty inns give Whitby a cosy seaside ambience whilst the busy boat bobbing harbour and the dramatic cliffs which guard it remind visitors of another world which has lured travelers and fishermen of old to the deep blue sea beyond the harbour wall. With its fabulous location, immaculate facilities and friendly on-site managers, Whitby Holiday Park has the kind of appeal which makes visitors want to return again and again to relive the magic of a memorable holiday.
Surprisingly affordable, luxurious and contemporary brand new and nearly new holiday homes are available for immediate purchase.
