Lanterna Ristorante

About

Scarborough's La Lanterna Ristorante has undergone a complete refurbishment which, says chef-owner Giorgio Alessio, brings a 'little bit of Piedmont to Yorkshire', and features the landscapes and the produce of both areas.

The restaurant now has a Scarborough atmosphere on its lower level, and a Piedmont one on its upper level - each is decorated in colours that reflect the seasonal moods, of the two locations, with large photographs of both and separated by stunning glass panels.

Lanterna Ristorante serves fabulous food which is influenced from by Giorgio's home-town in the North West of Italy, therefore making the cuisine predominantly Piemontese as opposed to being just Italian.

This is an award winning restaurant, owned and run Georgio, author of 'White Truffle - Yorkshire Pudding'. Lanterna has been featured in 'The Which? Good Food Guide' and the 'Michelin Guide'.
