Animated Objects produce a varied programme of arts activities, performances, lantern parades and large scale events throughout the year.
Visit our website and follow us on social media @animatedobjects for updates on events and how to get involved.

Highlights of our work include large scale community arts projects as part of national and regional events; the popular lantern parade in Scarborough’s Peasholm Park; gigantic sand art on Yorkshire’s beaches; along with giant puppets and walkabout appearances at regional festivals. We also run an extensive programme of outreach and educational work in different settings throughout the year.

Look out for ‘The Odyssey: an Epic Adventure on the Yorkshire Coast’ taking place in destinations along the whole length of the coast, based on Homer’s classic tales of the Trojan wars. This project will be featuring art exhibitions; geolocation walks; giant puppetry; touring installations and outdoor events in different locations over the next two years.

Download the free Echoes interactive walks app to find our free to access geolocation walks in over 25 locations on the Yorkshire Coast.
