Big Bear Bikes is a cycle shop and cycle hire guiding and training centre on Dalby Forest' s doorstep in Pickering. We have a large fleet of hire bikes and we service and repair all makes of bikes.

Big Bear Bikes is open 7 days a week and has a large free car-park at the rear which is great for test rides! We are the area's leading cycle shop with more than 100 new bikes in stock from Trek Orange Genesis Ridgeback and Ragley.

Big Bear Bikes specialises in:
- Bike Hire - mountain road children families and groups. Bike Sales - from £80 to £8000! 0% Finance & 'Cycle To Work' available.
- Bike Demo centre - 'try before you buy' road and mountain bikes.
- One Stop Cyclist Shop - parts/accessories/clothes/footwear.
- Training - all levels of mountain road and instructor training for cyclists.
- Workshop - bike servicing/repair for all makes with high end specialist services.
- Suspension service centre hydraulic brake servicing wheel- building frame alignment and custom bike building.
- 'Bike Fit' Specialist - A 2 hour consultation by our physiotherapist/bike fitter to transform your on bike comfort and performance.
- Guided Rides - mountain and road bike
- First Aid Training - Outdoor Instructors courses School/college activities - hire/guided rides/skills/multi-discipline.
- Corporate events - hire/guided rides/skills/multi-discipline.

Cycle Hire

Dalby Forest Cycle Hub CIC has been established with the aim of providing a high quality and inclusive cycle hire and event facility. We are located in the heart of Dalby Forest directly at the start of the bike trails.

Some amenities are not immediately on site at the hire centre but at the Visitors' Centre, a five minute walk away.

Road Directions

By road from the A64/Pickering: follow the A170 to Thornton-le-Dale and turn left at the traffic lights. Follow the road for 1.5 miles until you see the right hand turn for Dalby Forest. From Whitby: Follow the A169 until you see the left hand signpost for Dalby Forest. From Scarborough, follow the A170 to Thornton-le-Dale and turn right at the traffic lights. Follow the road for 1.5 until you see the turning for Dalby Forest.
