About
Flat at first along the foot of the more gently sloping side of the Wolds. This route crosses chalk streams and the Driffield Navigation canal to reach Burton Agnes; take some time to explore its interesting church and excellent Elizabethan house and gardens (open daily April to October). It's then up onto the Wolds again following Woldgate Roman Road into the former market village of Kilham, past Nafferton's large pond and back to Driffield, the self-proclaimed 'capital of the Wolds'. Driffield and Nafferton are both on the Yorkshire Coast railway line.
