About

The famous Clock Tower overlooking the South Bay as featured in the The Royal TV series.

The Tower was built in 1911 to commemorate the crowning of George V and was presented by a businessman and philanthropist, Alfred Shuttleworth. Alfred resided in the 'Red Court' building which sits opposite the Clock Tower where The Royal was filmed.

Shuttleworth Gardens sits close by which was created by Alfred Shuttleworth after he bought the Red Court. The garden was later given to the people of Scarborough which is now home to a sensory garden.
