About
Located in the heart of Malton, The Milton Rooms offers a wide-ranging programme of theatre, music, art, dance and comedy. The Milton Rooms aims to collaborate with established and emerging artists to make Malton a hub of excellence for the arts in all creative fields.
Built around 1930 as an addition to the Subscription Rooms, The Milton Rooms is a Grade II listed building of some character with original interior fittings surviving complete.
The main hall boasts the largest sprung dancefloor in North Yorkshire, and with a fully equipped forty seat studio performance space, acoustic music room and bar; the Milton Rooms offers a superb venue for visiting productions, music and community events.
The Main Hall is also a regular venue for fairs, festivals, auctions and exhibitions.
Our aims are high - to create a leading innovative arts venue for North Yorkshire. We plan to create a centre of excellence with spaces for drama, music, visual arts, literature and crafts as well as the traditional and community events we have hosted in the past.
Both the Studio and the Main Hall are available for hire.
