About

The “Paint the Town” project is an innovative scheme created by Scarborough Civic Society. The project consists of high-quality reproductions of eight locally themed artworks from the Scarborough Museums Trust collection placed at outdoor venues around the town to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.The locations are the sites which inspired the artist to produce the original work of art.

You can discover the Paint the Town project through the Paint the Town Trail which is available on the Love Exploring app along with an audio description with more interesting information about the history of Scarborough's art scene.
