About

Enjoy a great day out with all the family at Scarborough’s North Bay Heritage Railway, built in 1931 and still operating today in its original format.

The locomotives, scenery and history of the railway all add up to make it a fantastic day out and a great way to travel to Scarborough Sea Life Centre and the North Bay beach, using our regular public transport service. Operating times are normally every 40 minutes, giving you the option of returning at your leisure later in the day.

On both stations we now serve take-away food, drinks, snacks and ice creams together with affordable gifts.  We have outside seating at both stations where you can take in the atmosphere whilst you wait for the train.

New for 2023 we are trialling pre-booked fish and chip suppers.

Also new for 2023 we will have cream teas and scones at our Scalby Mills Station.

Our seaside attractions are family friendly, accessible for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters and we are 100% dog friendly for whom we charge a small fee for them to accompany you.

No booking is required except for fish and chip suppers.

Please pay by card wherever possible.

Please check our website www.snbr.org.uk for further information and details of our special events throughout the year.

Prices start at £3.50 for children (aged 2 and over) and £3.90 for adults.

Check out our other listing for information on our other attractions, Sky Trail, Water Chute, Water Walking Balls, Bumper Boats and Electric Boats.
